A New Me

Mrs. Blue would prefer that a “new me” somehow involve the sudden emergence of carpentry and/or automotive repair skills; the regrowth of my hair and return of my ponytail; and the development of serious “master of the universe”-style moneymaking ability.

But, for now, this will have to do:

For the record, this is the first time since I started wearing glasses in junior high (back in the 1980s) that I have worn any style other than wire-rimmed glasses.

What say you?

Chic geek?

Or otherwise?

    @ Lola,

Thanks. Wife thought they were better for my face and head, too, though she would have liked them just a tiny bit smaller. Oh well, limited choices at the optical shop.

    @ Chi-Chi,

Excellent. Because I am a nerd/geek after all (though NOT a dork)

    @ Tit for Tat,

And, oddly enough, I look like all the trendy agnostic alt/rock/artsy/folk dudes around here too. Hmmm…more in common that we all thought? 😛

I’m usually a shirt tucker for oxfords usually, unless worn as outerwear over a shirt. But I’m an un-tucker for T-shirts usually. Gotta keep ’em guessing.

You know, you might suggest that your church start offering classes on carpentry or auto repair. Kind of a volunteer thing for those members with the knowledge. I’m trying to get something organized at my church.

Now that’s an intriguing idea. Not sure how it would fit with the vibe of the congregation, but a very nice idea. And well worth a shot.

    (a) I love Big Man’s idea – now that’s a church that knows what they need to do!

    (b) I think you look good…the glasses and the beard make you look a lil sophisticated – and don’t we all just want to be adults?

I’d rather revert back to 10 years old myself, these days, SocietyVs. 😉

The glasses also help protect my identity as I fight crime in the dark of night.
