Drive-by Scripture: John 6:35

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.

It would be easy to just go with the fact that truly accepting Jesus will lead to you surely to eternal life and eventually beyond the mere desires of the flesh, but I’d rather address something else.

If you are a Christian, are you being fed?

When you go to church, assuming that you do, do you feel that your soul is being satisfied? Do you receive knowledge? Understanding? Comfort? Strength?

If not, you may need to reassess whether that’s the right church for you, or at least consider that your church may be good for social contact but that you need something supplemental to feed your spiritual needs.

As with all things in life, we sometimes has to reassess some of our relationships, and our relationships with churches are no different. We don’t marry a specific congregation for life.

LOL…no, nothing like that, Honey. My Drive-by Scripture posts are almost always picked at random from the Bible. I pray, I open it up, and I see what first catches my eye.

I try to think of it as Spirit-led most of the time, and try to see what quick message I can glean or share from whatever passage I pick. Whenever possible, I try to NOT take the obvious route.
